Packers key man finally revealed why he want to quit….

Aaron Rodgers explains why he wants to leave the Green Bay Packers for the New York Jets

The legendary quarterback considered all options, including retirement, but now explained why he wants to join the New York Jets and be traded by the Green Bay Packers.

Aaron Rodgers explained why he wants to join the New York Jets and trade away from the Green Bay Packers. This NFL offseason has been quite the saga, with several reports suggesting that Rodgers will leave the Packers after a difficult season in the 2022 campaign. After a year, Rodgers walked off the field with longtime teammate Randall Cobb in what some thought would be his last game with the packers and eventually the NFL.

Rodgers himself has now admitted that he believes it will happen. Rodgers went on a blackout retreat in Southern Oregon for four nights in February. Coming out, he believed the Packers’ intentions had changed and they wanted to start Jordan Love. Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers said: “I have to admit that I went into the dark, 90 percent retiring, 10 percent playing, my mind was that I was sick of it. I thought it was the best for me.

“Before I went in, I was told the Packers wanted me to go back to Packer retirement. When I came out of the dark, something changed. My ‘hippie hill’ didn’t have Wi-Fi, I got text messages that changed and I heard from several people that buying was going on. Then I realized that the packers wanted to continue, they explained it in so many words.”

Rodgers then had to decide what he wanted to do with that career – play elsewhere or quit. Negotiations between the Packers and the rest of the team were lively, with the Jets leading the way and asking Rodgers if he would be interested in joining the New York team.

Rodgers talked like a trade was about to happen

Rodgers said, “The Packers decided to let the Jets talk to me about a deal and we had a nice conversation and I told them I wasn’t ready to make a decision. I told them I had to see if the drive was still there. … when my body was still there, then I decided it was. And I made it clear that I wanted to play and play for the New York Jets.”

When asked if other teams were involved, Rodgers said he would have been interested in joining the Las Vegas Raiders, but the Jets were the main landing spot.
