Packers injury report: LB Quay Walker has sustained a second brutal injury….

Packers injury report: LB Quay Walker will return to practice Wednesday

One of Green Bay’s most popular starters is moving in a positive direction after a bye week. On Wednesday, Quay Walker, who left Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders with a knee injury, was able to practice on a limited basis. FYI, Walker did not participate in Monday’s Packers practice.

When Walker went down against the Raiders, both of Green Bay’s inside linebackers — Isaiah McDuffie and Eric Wilson — had to step into the lineup because fellow starter De’Vondre Campbell (ankle) was already out. Head coach Matt LaFleur announced today that there was no setback to Campbell’s injury and he is doubtful [to play against the Denver Broncos] this week.

Campbell and Takla Luke Tenuta, who remains on injured reserve, worked out with the rehab team today, according to Packer Report’s Andy Herman. The team has not yet opened Tenuta’s 21-day practice window, which creates a deadline for him to be activated to the 53-man roster.

Along with Walker, the following players were limited for today’s practice: safety Zayne Anderson (hamstring), left tackle Elgton Jenkins (knee), linebacker Aaron Jones (hamstring), safety Darnell Savage (oblique), cornerback Eric Stokes (ankle) and defensive. lineman Devonte Wyatt (Unknown .) Jones will continue to practice after Monday’s game, a good sign that he will be able to play after sitting out before the Raiders game later in the week against the Broncos.

Savage is nursing the injury that sidelined him against Las Vegas, but is positive he was able to participate in back-to-back workouts. It remains uncertain whether Stokes, whose 21-day practice window closes early next week, will be activated on the physically unable to perform list in Weeks 7 or 8. As a result, the team traded a cornerback from its practice squad on Tuesday, which could be a hint that Stokes could play in Denver.

In addition to the cornerback change, the Packers had another new face at practice: former 1,000-yard rusher James Robinson, who was signed to the practice squad yesterday. Gone is Patrick Taylor, who played four games for Green Bay this regular season. After being fired, the linebacker made it and signed with the New England Patriots practice squad.

One question mark on the injury report is what happened to defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, the team’s primary starter. Wyatt was not reported injured against the Raiders and the Packers were not asked to be on the injury report for Monday’s practice. LaFleur mentioned that Wyatt was limited in practice today, but there were no further questions about his status.
