Winning football games isn’t medicine for former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams. The All-Pro wide receiver made eye-opening statements about his behavior following the Las Vegas Raiders’ two-game winning streak.

Adams expressed frustration with the Raiders’ play earlier in the season. According to WSH Media files, Adams made some bold statements after the Raiders’ Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, which dropped the Raiders 1-2:

Las Vegas Raiders star WR Davante Adams expressed his frustration after the Raiders’ 23-18 loss to the Steelers.

“I don’t want to act like everything is crazy, but it’s week 3 and I don’t have time to wait.” Adams said. “It’s not my mindset to sit here and try to take the whole season and figure it out…

“Use their other games to establish your identity and we’re not doing things right to create a winning culture at the beginning of the season, so we have to do something to turn that around.”

The Raiders drop their next game to the Los Angeles Chargers. But the Raiders won their next two games, including a Week 5 matchup against the Packers, to earn a .500 record. Ezoic

But Adams is still not satisfied.

Adams’ former teammate Aaron Rodgers called out the Raiders because Adams didn’t have a field goal (four) in Week 5 against the Packers. Adams would get five carries in a Week 6 win against the New England Patriots.

In an interview with The Associated Press by Mark Anderson, Adams said he was frustrated with his role on a winning Raiders team:

“I’m sure people are thinking, ‘They won the game, so why is there a problem?'” Adams said Wednesday. “When you’re a mental player like me, my standard is not wins and losses, but greatness. . . So when I go there, I expect to have a chance to put it on the table and affect the game. That is the purpose of my being here.

I came here to win and do it right, so if it doesn’t look like it should look, I’ll be disappointed if I’m not part of that plan.

Adams admitted it was difficult for the quarterback to throw to him in double coverage, but said they have to find ways to make those tight throws anyway. He also said he doesn’t mind if another quarterback like Jakobi Meyers has a big day and the offense succeeds. Adams said he generally knows an offense is better when it gets more targets.

The offense is better when Adams has the ball. But Adams needs to make those comments in the locker room instead of the press. He has no reason to put the team down after two big wins.
