Keyshawn Johnson Makes Clear and sound Statement On Cowboys-49ers Importance

ESPN’s Keyshawn Johnson looks on before the final regular season game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons at Candlestick Park on December 23, 2013 in San Francisco, California.

The Dallas Cowboys have gotten better every year since Jason Garrett left. However, their seasons always ended the same, with the San Francisco 49ers in first place.

The Cowboys can’t afford to let that happen again, so this Sunday’s game in the Bay Area could be the deciding factor in their season.

In fact, former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson believes their road to the Super Bowl could actually start with a win against the Niners (via Undisputed).

“The Cowboys’ road to victory in Super Bowl LVIII begins Sunday night,” Johnson said. Will the Niners go the way of the Cowboys again?

The Cowboys looked like the best, or at least one of the best teams in the league in their wins, but were exposed again in a shocking loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

The offense didn’t live up to expectations and Dak Prescott had a crucial turnover during the game, again raising concerns about his ability to lead this team over the hump.

It’s why some people still refuse to recognize them as legitimate Super Bowl contenders, and why a 4-0 win over the Niners could finally change their story.

On the contrary, another ugly loss for Kyle Shanahan’s team could affect their season not only because of their record, but because of the psychological damage that could hit them before a possible rematch in the playoffs. This isn’t just another Cowboys game, and it’s time for them to make a definitive statement if they want to be taken seriously.
