Sunderland have been featured in the Championship Team of the Week following their impressive win over QPR on Saturday.
Sunderland continued their promising start to the new Championship season with a 3-1 win against ten-man Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
The hosts took the lead in the 12th minute through Kenneth Paal, but the game turned in Tony Mowbray’s men’s favor when former Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback was sent off for a bad challenge just before midway through the first half.
Jack Clarke drew the Black Cats level just before half-time and strikes from Dan Ballard and Abdoullah Ba ensured Mowbray’s men went four games unbeaten to move one point and one place clear of the play-off places. for Wednesday night’s visit to Blackburn Rovers.
