Millwall vs Leeds United live: Early team update, goals and result updates as the Whites return to Championship action

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke takes his team home to Millwall FC at The Denis this afternoon. Start is at 12.

The Whites return to the Championship at midday in what could prove to be one of the toughest tests of their campaign so far. Leeds have won one, drawn three and lost one in the league so far, but were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup on penalties by Salford City.

Farke has the majority of the team’s first team at his disposal during the football break, including new signing and Luis Sinisterra’s replacement Jaidon Anthony, who joined from AFC Bournemouth on a season-long loan deal.

Both the Cherry wide man and the Bulgarian national team midfielder Ilia Gruev, who has now received international clearance, are expected on the bench today.

Farke confirmed on Friday that none of those who have been on international duty with their country over the past fortnight have returned with injuries that could have ruled them out of this afternoon’s game, but new man Djed Spence is a “major doubt” after they came . knock kneeling during training. In addition, a large number of the team’s players, including skipper Liam Cooper, are in line to return to the team after a short day on the field.
